About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Transformation Consultant to lead a strategically important feasibility assessment focused on simplifying and strengthening the IT operating model of a complex, internationally distributed organisation.
The organisation operates across approximately 120 countries, with a central function supporting a network of around 30 national member organisations. Some operate with a high degree of independence, while others use centrally provided shared services.
A significant focus of this assignment will be the relationship between the global IT operating model and the organisation's major US member. The consultant will assess IT services, systems, tooling, and operating structures across the environments to identify duplication, dependencies, and opportunities for greater alignment, while also determining where legitimate local requirements need to remain.

The organisation is also progressing several significant enterprise technology transformations while seeking to improve how technology services are governed, delivered, and supported across global and local teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the feasibility of consolidating local IT capabilities into an established global IT operating model.
- Develop an evidence-based view of the current environment.
- Define the future-state model.
- Evaluate viable options.
- Provide senior executives with a clear recommendation and executable transition plan.
- Subject to executive approval, lead the transition into the agreed future state.

Required Experience
- Senior IT Leadership: Proven experience at the IT Director, Transformation Director, or CIO level within complex, geographically distributed organizations.
- IT Consolidation: A proven track record of assessing, integrating, or consolidating IT operating models (experience with US-based teams is highly advantageous).
- Governance & Commercial Acumen: Experience navigating formal governance structures, managing vendor/cost complexities, and presenting decision-ready recommendations to steering committees.
- Balancing Strategy & Execution: Ability to absorb vast amounts of data quickly, challenge organizational assumptions constructively, and maintain BAU stability during major changes.
