A leading defence organisation are currently recruiting for an IT Transformation Procurement Lead on a full-time, permanent basis in Stevenage.
Role - IT Transformation Procurement Lead
Type - Permanent
Location - Stevenage, Hertfordshire - 2 days a week onsite
Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 + benefits
Key responsibilities for the IT Transformation Procurement Lead will include and will not be limited to:
- Leading strategic RFI/RFP activity to identify market players and supply partners for a major transformation programme
- Acting as the senior procurement lead, liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop statements of work (SOWs)
- Managing and developing contracts across the programme and associated support activity
- Developing and helping to implement the supplier relationship management (SRM) approach to ensure delivery on time and to quality
- Driving supplier performance, value creation, and managing/escalating issues as required
- Building effective relationships with UK and international stakeholders, colleagues, and suppliers

Key skills and experience required for IT Transformation Procurement Lead job applicant and will not be limited to:
- Strong end-to-end procurement experience, with evidence of delivering complex and strategic procurement activity.
- Experience running large procurement projects/programmes in a high-profile, stakeholder-heavy environment
- Confidence working in an international context and building internal/external relationships
- Proven contract management capability, including developing SOWs and managing supplier delivery
- Ability to drive supplier performance and deliver value through commercial and procurement levers
- Ability to meet relevant security and eligibility requirements (e.g., BPSS) where applicable
