ITAD Process Operative Apprentice

We are seeking a dedicated ITAD Process Operative Apprentice who can support our ITAD processes and contribute to the overall efficiency and security of our operations.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Booking Tech In: Accurately recording the arrival of IT equipment into the warehouse, ensuring all items are correctly logged and tracked in our inventory management system.
• Data Wiping: Performing secure data erasure on all incoming devices to ensure data protection compliance, using industry-standard software and techniques.
• Cleaning Tech: Physically cleaning and refurbishing IT equipment to prepare it for re-use or resale, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality.
• Refurbishment: Diagnosing and repairing minor faults in IT equipment, upgrading components, and testing devices to ensure they meet our quality standards.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough checks and testing on all refurbished equipment to guarantee functionality and quality.
• Dispatching: Preparing and packing refurbished equipment for dispatch to customers, ensuring all items are securely packaged and accurately labelled.
• Logistics: Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
• General Warehouse Tasks: Assisting with general warehouse duties such as organising stock, maintaining a tidy work environment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

• Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
• Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
• Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
• Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
• Support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
• Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
• Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
• Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
• Carry out and record learning and development activities.
• Conducts handover activities.
