About the Role

Take ownership of a critical HR technology platform

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced iTrent HR & Payroll specialist to take ownership of a key business-critical system and play a central role in how HR technology supports a growing and complex organisation.

As the HR Data Officer / iTrent System Administrator, you will become the go-to subject matter expert for iTrent, responsible for ensuring the system remains accurate, secure, compliant, and continually evolving to meet the needs of the business. This is far more than a traditional system administration position. You will have genuine ownership of the platform, working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, operational teams, and senior stakeholders to improve processes, introduce greater automation, and ensure users get the maximum possible value from the system. It is a role where your technical knowledge will have a tangible impact across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • System Administration and Development: Take ownership of the day-to-day administration, development, and optimisation of iTrent.
    • Managing organisational structures, positions, departments, reporting lines, and system inheritance.
    • Configuring and testing payroll elements, calculations, pay codes, and system logic.
    • Developing and maintaining electronic forms, workflows, tasks, alerts, and notifications.
    • Managing security profiles, permissions, role design, and data conditioning.
    • Overseeing interfaces, integrations, and data conversions with third-party systems.
    • Carrying out system audits, housekeeping, data checks, and ongoing maintenance.
    • Analysing, testing, and implementing iTrent upgrades, service packs, and new functionality.
    • Identifying opportunities for automation, optimisation, and process improvement.
    • Providing technical support and resolving system, data, workflow, and configuration issues.
    • Working with the external iTrent support organisation where specialist assistance is required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
