Sales Executive – IT Service Management (ITSM)
We are recruiting on behalf of an established IT Service Management solutions provider seeking an experienced Sales Executive to win new business and grow existing customer accounts.
With an equal focus on new business development and account management, this role suits a commercially focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships, understanding client challenges and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.
The role
You will own the sales cycle from initial engagement through to close and handover, building your own pipeline while developing an existing customer portfolio. Working closely with internal delivery teams, you will help clients improve their IT service operations and identify opportunities for further growth.
Key responsibilities
- Win new clients through outbound prospecting, targeted campaigns, networking and partner engagement.
- Identify and engage decision-makers across IT, Operations and Service Management, including senior and C-level stakeholders.
- Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline, taking ownership of opportunities through to close.
- Grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling and relationship development.
- Act as a trusted advisor, aligning ITSM solutions with clients’ business needs and service improvement priorities.
- Conduct regular account reviews and collaborate with delivery teams to support successful client outcomes.
- Forecast performance against sales targets, provide monthly progress reports and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Use market and competitor insights to strengthen sales conversations and communicate the value of the organisation’s solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
