Staff Nurse – Intensive Care | Band 5 | £26ph

Marylebone | £26 per hour | 12-hour shifts | Ongoing work

Are you an experienced ICU Nurse looking for a rewarding role in a modern, supportive critical care environment? We’re looking for compassionate and motivated Band 5 Intensive Care Nurses to join a leading ICU in Marylebone, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The Role

As an ICU Nurse, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, compassionate and high-quality care to critically ill patients and their families.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating individualised patient care.
  • Caring for patients with complex and changing clinical needs.
  • Working closely with doctors, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Safely administering medication and maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control.
  • Recognising and responding promptly to changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Supporting patients and their families with compassion and professionalism.
  • Participating in admissions, transfers and discharge planning.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Supporting colleagues, students and junior staff.
  • Contributing to teaching, clinical audit, research and service improvement.
  • Continuing to develop your specialist ICU knowledge and clinical skills.

About You

We’re looking for nurses who have:

  • Current NMC registration
  • Previous acute hospital ICU/critical care experience (2 years)
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • A compassionate and patient-centred approach
  • The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and decision-making skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced critical care environment
