About The Role

Location: Hybrid (Remote/Site) – regular on-site presence required, with occasional travel to other locations. A full list of our IUC sites / locations can be found on our website

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Circa £53,000 per annum

Start Date: This position is expected to commence on 1 September 2026 and is subject to the successful outcome of an ongoing Urgent Care (UC) service redesign project.

We're looking for an experienced and resilient IUC Duty Shift Manager (Clinical) to join our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) Operational Delivery Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered healthcare professional with IUC/111 experience to take a pivotal role in the real-time management of clinical operations, ensuring safe, effective, and responsive patient care across our network.

As the Clinical Duty Shift Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • The real-time management of 111 and Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) clinical queues
  • Working closely with operational colleagues to manage risk, resources, service performance, and patient safety

You will act as a key clinical decision-maker, providing:

  • Expert guidance
  • Managing live operational risks
  • Supporting escalation processes
  • Ensuring high-quality service delivery during operational shifts
