Location: Offshore / Worldwide Operations

Reports To: Operations Manager / Marine Manager

Start Date: Immediate

Interocean is seeking a highly experienced Jack-Up Rig Mover to join our team for operations in Worldwide. The Jack-Up Rig Move Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing safe and efficient jack-up rig moves. The role provides technical expertise throughout all phases of rig relocation, including feasibility studies, route assessment, pre-load monitoring, jack-up and jack-down operations, towing activities, and post-move reporting. The position ensures compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise jack-up rig move operations from planning through completion
  • Develop rig move procedures, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Conduct location assessments, environmental reviews, and seabed evaluations
  • Review geotechnical, bathymetric, and metocean data to determine site suitability
  • Coordinate with clients, vessel owners, marine warranty surveyors, and offshore personnel
  • Provide technical guidance during jack-up, transit, positioning, and jack-down activities
  • Monitor towing operations and ensure compliance with approved rig move procedures
  • Assess rig leg penetration, footing capacities, punch-through risks, and air gap requirements
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, and pre-job planning meetings
  • Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and company management systems
  • Maintain accurate operational records and prepare detailed rig move reports
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and operational anomalies when required
  • Mentor junior personnel and offshore teams on rig move planning and execution

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Marine Operations, or a related discipline
  • Recognised offshore survival and medical certification
  • Valid industry-standard offshore training certificates relevant to operating region

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in offshore marine operations
  • Significant experience planning and executing jack-up rig moves
  • Proven experience working with independent-leg cantilever and slot jack-up rigs
  • Experience reviewing geotechnical and geophysical survey data
  • Experience coordinating with Marine Warranty Surveyors and regulatory bodies
  • Familiarity with international offshore drilling operations
