Our teams continuously build expertise across new media formats, including video, blogs, infographics, and web design.
This is a remote, casual freelance opportunity. Location doesn't matter, but priority will be given to candidates near the GMT time zone.
Core Competencies
- Fluent in both English and Japanese (spoken and written) - able to translate and adapt ad copy for Japanese audiences while maintaining brand tone and cultural nuance.
- Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Performance Max, and Display. Ideally for B2B clients.
- Experience with local keyword research tools and methods relevant to the Japanese market (beyond Google Translate or automated translation tools).
- Strong ability to analyze search term reports and keyword data in Japanese to inform optimizations and negative keyword lists.

Strategic & Analytical Capabilities
- Ability to provide strategic recommendations on targeting, ad structure, and messaging for Japanese campaigns.
- Familiarity with regional performance reporting - able to prepare insights and metrics that roll up to a global PPC framework (e.g., separate but aligned reporting for Japan).
- Comfortable collaborating asynchronously across time zones with English-speaking teams.

Professional Requirements
- Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in paid media, ideally with international campaign management exposure.
- Strong communicator, with the ability to provide clear written updates and context behind optimizations.
- (Nice to have) Background working with multinational or B2B clients where Japan was one of the target regions.
- Native, Fluent, or Professional Japanese language proficiency
Bonus Skills But Not Essential
- Experience on NAVER ads
- Korean language proficiency
