The London branch of a leading global bank is looking for a Japanese Speaking Relationship Manager plus M&A - Vice President.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with Japanese corporate clients across Europe as a corporate banking Relationship Manager
  • Act as the primary contact for corporate banking products including Loans, Transaction Banking, and others and provide tailored financial solutions.
  • Identify and originate new business opportunities, with a focus on M&A transactions.
  • Monitor client financial performance, conduct credit analysis, and manage credit risk exposure.
  • Prepare and review credit applications, waivers, and portfolio management activities.
  • Coordinate M&A opportunities and engage with advisory firms and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across EMEA, Japan, and product teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, AML standards, and internal policies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Native-level Japanese and fluent English language skills.
  • Strong experience in Corporate Banking and Relationship Manager.
  • Proven knowledge of M&A transactions and corporate finance.
  • Solid understanding of project finance, trade finance, treasury products, and credit analysis.
  • Good knowledge of financial regulations, including MiFID II and Financial Crime requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
