About the role
The Julia Anderson Training Programme provides early-career professionals with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by contributing to a variety of projects and initiatives led by the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI), supporting their professional development and career progression.
Please read the full eligibility criteria before applying. This programme is designed for individuals with little or no professional experience. To be eligible, applicants must have less than two months' full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in health, science, medicine, technology, business management, or any office-based role. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK and must not have completed paid or unpaid internships totalling two months or more.

The programme runs from 3 February 2027 to 27 April 2027. These dates are fixed and cannot be changed.
What you would be doing
You will support communications, marketing, and events activity for IGHI Education programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Event planning and delivery
- Writing and designing marketing content
- Using website and social media platforms
- Conducting desk research and competitor analysis
- Learning about web accessibility and search engine optimisation
What we are looking for
The Trainee will have some knowledge of communications and events planning or delivery. They will:
- Work as part of a team
- Be punctual and reliable
- Ask for help when needed
- Show a willingness to learn new skills
