Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: Sheffield, UK

Work Mode: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in office

Contract: Contract

Experience: 3+ years

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of a modern Client Due Diligence (CDD) platform supporting client onboarding and KYC activities.

The role is hands-on and requires strong experience across backend microservices, frontend applications, and databases, along with the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality software into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy production-quality software using Java and microservices architecture.
  • Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Develop responsive and maintainable UI applications using ReactJS.
  • Design, develop, and work with PostgreSQL databases and schemas.
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and support applications.
  • Develop and support applications running within GCP environments.
  • Follow and contribute to strong CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Deliver high-quality code into production while maintaining reliability and performance.
  • Follow engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, documentation, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and globally distributed teams.
  • Identify technical risks, resolve impediments, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and support other engineers where required and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java; Java 21+ preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microservices architecture.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong experience with ReactJS and frontend application development.
  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and database schema design.
  • Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices.
  • Experience delivering software into production.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
