About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer specializing in SIP/VoIP technologies to join our client's dynamic team on a six-month contract basis, inside IR35. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing next-generation voice and communication platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale telecom services, leveraging cloud technologies and AI-driven voice solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development within telecom environments, with hands-on experience in SIP-based applications, voice platform integrations, and cloud deployments. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimizing voice quality, call routing, and network performance, ensuring seamless communication services for end-users.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in Java development with significant commercial experience. A comprehensive understanding of SIP, VoIP, RTP/RTCP, and SDP protocols is essential. Experience working with JAIN SLEE and SIP Servlet frameworks is highly desirable, along with familiarity with voice platforms such as FreeSWITCH and Asterisk. Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP is required, demonstrating the ability to deploy and support solutions in cloud environments. Strong troubleshooting skills within telecoms or voice environments are necessary to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining SIP-based voice applications using Java
- Working with frameworks such as JAIN SLEE and SIP Servlet to create scalable and reliable voice solutions
- Supporting and integrating various voice platforms including FreeSWITCH and Asterisk
- Deployment and support of solutions across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Integrating advanced AI-driven voice services such as Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech
- Troubleshooting voice quality issues, call routing problems, and network performance challenges
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative voice solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
