Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Java software development within complex, medium to high-impact environments. A solid understanding of modern backend engineering practices, including Spring Boot, is essential. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is required, along with familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka. Hands-on experience working with MongoDB and designing resilient distributed systems is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in coding, testing, documenting, and troubleshooting complex applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices. Strong leadership skills, the ability to guide teams, and excellent communication capabilities are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead strategies for building reusable Java libraries, services, and software components to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Shape medium to long-term technical strategies for product lines and the broader software engineering community, aligning with organizational goals and technological advancements.
• Collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to design robust, resilient, and scalable systems that can handle increasing user demands.
• Champion software engineering best practices, including writing clean code, comprehensive testing, thorough documentation, and maintainability standards.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve infrastructure and production issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure high service availability.
• Promote knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and process improvements across the engineering team to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring sessions to elevate team capabilities and maintain high-quality standards.
• Assist in designing systems with medium levels of technical or business complexity, and review designs to ensure optimal technology choices.
• Support operational stability by implementing resilient system architectures and contributing to ongoing production support activities.
