About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer with expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent role designed for professionals who are passionate about developing enterprise-scale communication platforms and enjoy taking ownership of solutions from conception to deployment. The position offers a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days per week onsite in Hertfordshire, providing flexibility to balance collaborative and independent work environments.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices and Java applications, primarily utilizing Spring Boot. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our cloud infrastructure, optimize system performance, and ensure the reliability and maintainability of our solutions. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a modern DevOps environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of commercial Java development experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex applications.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working within Agile teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications utilizing Spring Boot framework.
- Design and implement scalable, secure microservices architectures aligned with enterprise requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions into the broader platform.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and delivery.
- Drive system reliability, performance tuning, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve the platform.
