About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This is a permanent/full-time position offering a hybrid working model, combining the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of onsite collaboration. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices architectures that support our client's digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and product management, to deliver scalable and secure solutions. Your expertise will help drive innovation and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet business objectives and customer expectations.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong background in microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, SpringBoot, and SpringMVC.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, security best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust Java-based microservices using Spring and SpringBoot frameworks, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
- Lead development efforts by providing technical guidance, mentoring junior developers, and conducting code reviews to uphold quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices across development and deployment processes.
- Partner with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines, optimize CI/CD workflows, and ensure smooth release cycles.
- Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance the development process and technical capabilities.
