Java Developer Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Java Developer to join a specialist cyber technology and software assurance company supporting UK Defence and Critical National Infrastructure programmes.
As a Java Developer, you will develop and enhance secure Java applications, backend services and system integrations within a restricted environment.
This is a 12-month contract-based role offering a salary range of £600 - £650 per day and benefits.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Developing and enhancing Java-based backend services.
- Designing and implementing secure, scalable applications.
- Building and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Working with microservices architectures.
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and relevant stakeholders.
- Working within an Agile development environment.
- Contributing to the development of technology supporting UK national security operations.

What We Are Looking For
- Previously worked as a Java Developer or in a similar role.
- Active Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) security clearance is essential.
- Strong experience in Java development.
- Prior experience working in secure, government, or national security environments.
- Background working with microservices.
- Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.

- Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
