We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Full Stack Developer with 6-10 years of experience to help architect and ship resilient, high-scale platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between enterprise Java backend excellence and next-generation AI-integrated engineering. You will be responsible for building high-quality microservices, driving legacy modernization, and championing AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development velocity and improve system reliability.

Technical Skills

  • Core Java Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Java 17 and Spring Boot frameworks. Fluency with modern testing libraries and build tooling.
  • Microservices & Kafka: Proven experience building and deploying scalable microservices. Deep working knowledge of Kafka for event-driven systems and asynchronous messaging.
  • AI-Assisted Engineering: Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, internal copilots, or LLM-enabled development workflows). Comfort applying AI/ML concepts responsibly.
  • Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and distributed systems in highly regulated environments.
  • Quality & DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD, observability stacks, and infrastructure-as-code principles. Experience driving automated testing suites.
  • Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and navigate enterprise governance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
