About The Role
The Engineering Consultant role at Daemon offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work on challenging client projects, focusing on designing and delivering cloud-based solutions across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for implementing REST APIs, developing custom modules, and integrating third-party solutions to meet client needs. This position involves mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. The role is suited for a mid-level consultant with at least three years of development experience, eager to expand their expertise in cloud services and backend technologies while making a tangible impact on client success.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant development experience, with a strong background in interfacing web APIs with public cloud platforms. Proven consultancy experience demonstrating exceptional communication skills, stakeholder management at all levels, and the ability to work independently are essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of cloud services, REST API implementation, and experience with Java, Spring Boot, and other backend technologies. Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, agile methodologies like Scrum, and cloud platforms including AWS or Azure is highly desirable. A proactive attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing are crucial attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement REST APIs and interfaces on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions, as well as support, maintain, and enhance existing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop custom modules and integrate third-party solutions to extend system capabilities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of cloud services and stay updated on emerging technologies.
- Engage with non-technical stakeholders to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Assist in refining and improving the team's development processes and workflows.
