About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and modernizing software platforms that enhance compliance management and control processes. You will work on re-platforming existing applications from vendor platforms to internal Bring Your Own Code (BYOC) environments, ensuring seamless migration and integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, microservices architecture, and front-end technologies such as Angular. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical digital transformation projects, working closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with modern Java development (Java 11+), with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience with graph databases, particularly Neo4j, is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience building front-end interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript, and Angular framework.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and processes including Maven, GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, utilizing CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment.
  • Proficiency in testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber, with experience in TDD/BDD approaches.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, resolve dependency conflicts, and perform upgrades.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
  • Proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and product owners to build and maintain high-quality software products.
  • Design, develop, and implement back-end features aligned with project priorities, with a small component of front-end development.
  • Build and maintain APIs and microservices to support application functionality and integration needs.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, peer testing, and automated testing to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Work in an agile environment, contributing to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for rapid iteration and deployment.
  • Assist in modernizing legacy Java applications, resolving dependency issues, and managing upgrades and vulnerabilities.
  • Engage proactively with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and incorporate feature requests.
  • Contribute to documentation efforts using tools like JIRA and Confluence, ensuring project transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve development processes and outcomes.
