About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with expertise in SIP/VoIP technologies to join our client's dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis, located in Ipswich with a hybrid work model. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation voice and communications platforms within the telecommunications sector. As part of the team, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and supporting innovative voice solutions that leverage cloud technologies and AI-driven services. Your work will directly impact the delivery of large-scale telecom services, ensuring high-quality voice communications and seamless customer experiences.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Java development, with proven experience in SIP and VoIP protocols. A solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential, along with familiarity with telecoms frameworks like JAIN SLEE and SIP Servlet. Candidates should demonstrate troubleshooting expertise within voice environments and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Prior experience working with voice platforms such as FreeSWITCH and Asterisk, as well as integrating AI-powered voice services, will be highly advantageous. Relevant certifications and hands-on experience with security protocols like TLS and SRTP are a plus.

Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance SIP-based voice applications using Java, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Work with frameworks such as JAIN SLEE and SIP Servlet to build and maintain voice communication services.
- Support and integrate voice platforms including FreeSWITCH and Asterisk, optimizing performance and functionality.
- Deploy and manage solutions across cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring high availability and security.
- Integrate speech recognition, text-to-speech, and AI-driven voice services to enhance user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to voice quality, call routing, and network performance to maintain seamless communication channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative voice solutions aligned with business goals.
- Maintain documentation and provide technical support for deployed voice systems.
