Java Developer
Contract: 6-Month Contract
Location & Work Model: London, UK | Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
Rate: £550 - 600 Inside IR35
Security Clearance: SC Clearance Required

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Java Developer to work on scalable backend systems using modern engineering practices, Agile delivery, and cloud-native technologies.
As a Java Developer, you'll collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to design, build, and maintain secure, high-performing enterprise applications while contributing to the successful delivery of innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, backend services, and RESTful APIs.
- Build scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Support code reviews, testing, debugging, and CI/CD delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to application performance, stability, and continuous improvement.

About You
- Proven experience as a Java Developer, Backend Developer, or Full Stack Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, and Agile delivery environments.
- SC Clearance (or eligibility to hold SC Clearance) is essential.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous.
