About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our high-performing front-office development team. This role is pivotal in delivering new strategic electronic foreign exchange (EFX) pricing and auto-hedging capabilities for FICC E-Trading as part of our 2026 initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing real-time, low-latency pricing services for FX Spot, Swaps, and NDF auto-hedging, as well as enhancing existing services to meet regulatory and market demands. You will work closely with Quantitative Strategies Group, Traders, and sibling teams in EFX, contributing to the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge ultra-low-latency technologies, including zero-GC JVMs, kernel bypass networking, and market data technologies, providing an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of financial technology innovation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Java server-side development with a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
  • Full technology stack knowledge of Java to Linux and networking protocols
  • Experience with KDB / Q and prior pricing or algo-trading experience in any asset class
  • Strong background in 3rd line production support and incident management
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical management, quantitative groups, and trading desks
  • Experience with full SDLC processes, including Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Agile methodologies
  • Understanding of multi-threading, low-latency architecture, and market data technologies
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel bypass networking, core pinning, and zero-GC JVMs is advantageous
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new real-time, low-latency FX pricing services for Spot, Swaps, and NDF auto-hedging functionalities
  • Enhance and maintain existing pricing and auto-hedging services to ensure robustness and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Strategies Group and Traders to refine requirements and improve backtesting capabilities
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Review code written by peers to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices
  • Update existing codebases to accommodate external venue upgrades and regulatory changes
  • Engage in occasional L3 support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in production environments
  • Work with sibling teams in EFX, such as market access and dashboard development, to ensure seamless integration
  • Proactively manage workload, escalate issues appropriately, and drive tasks to completion independently
