About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our high-performing front-office development team. This role involves working on the delivery of new strategic FX pricing and auto-hedging capabilities for FICC E-Trading, targeted for 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing real-time, low-latency pricing services for FX Spot, Swaps, and NDF auto-hedging, as well as enhancing existing services to meet evolving regulatory and venue requirements. You will engage closely with Quantitative Strategies Group, Traders, and sibling teams within EFX to refine requirements, review code, and deliver high-quality solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced ultra-low-latency technologies such as zero-GC JVMs, kernel bypass networking, and market data technologies, making it ideal for candidates passionate about high-performance trading systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in Java server-side development
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems and networking technologies
  • Experience with KDB/Q is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in pricing or algo-trading within any asset class
  • Full SDLC knowledge, including Git, Jenkins, and Ansible
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and multi-threading
  • Experience with 3rd line production support
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement real-time, low-latency FX pricing and auto-hedging services for Spot, Swaps, and NDFs
  • Create new features and enhance existing pricing and auto-hedging functionalities to meet market and regulatory demands
  • Maintain and update codebases in response to external venue upgrades and regulatory changes
  • Participate actively in Agile SDLC processes, including ceremonies and requirement refinement sessions
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Strategies Group to review code and improve backtesting capabilities
  • Manage own workload effectively, solving problems independently and escalating issues when necessary
  • Support production systems through L3 support activities as required
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions
  • Stay updated with the latest ultra-low-latency technologies and incorporate best practices into development
