About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, AWS Cloud services, and Angular to join our dynamic team in Leeds. This is a permanent position offering a hybrid working model, combining on-site presence with remote work flexibility. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing secure and robust Java-based solutions for large-scale digital modernization projects, primarily serving government clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to impactful digital transformation initiatives. Qualifications
- Strong background in software development, with proven experience in Java and cloud-based environments
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- AWS Associate Developer accreditation (or similar certifications) is highly advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Proactive approach to learning new technologies
- Experience with front-end frameworks like AngularJS and familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus
- Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly DynamoDB
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and deploying secure Java applications within AWS cloud environments
- Creating scalable and maintainable software solutions using Core Java and Spring Boot
- Integrating with various AWS services such as AWS S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and deliver high-quality code
- Participating in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins
- Maintaining and optimizing existing applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system security and compliance
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and understanding DevSecOps principles
