About The Role
Vitality is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the technical vision across our enterprise platforms and customer-facing solutions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and reliable software systems that align with strategic business objectives. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with extensive experience in software engineering, architecture, and leadership. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems, and proficiency with modern programming languages and frameworks are essential.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are crucial. Prior experience leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the technical design and architecture of enterprise and customer-facing platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Driving large-scale initiatives from conception through deployment, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Providing technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implementing best practices for software development, testing, and deployment to maintain high standards of quality.
- Evaluating and adopting new technologies to improve system capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements across all platforms.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to maintain optimal operation.
