Role: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: London, UK
Type: Contract

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Java Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Java/J2EE, Angular/React, Python, and Oracle/SQL databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services. The candidate should have a strong understanding of both frontend and backend development and be comfortable working across the complete software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust full-stack web applications.
  • Develop scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Java/J2EE.
  • Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using Angular and/or React.
  • Develop scripts, utilities, services, or applications using Python where required.
  • Design, develop, and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and database objects using Oracle/SQL.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and databases.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

Required Skills

Backend

  • Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE.
  • Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices is preferred.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.
  • Experience developing and integrating web services/APIs.

  • Hands-on experience with Angular and/or React.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience developing responsive and reusable UI components.
