Job Summary

Seeking a Specialist with hands-on years of experience in Java REST API development, caching, and performance optimization to design, develop, and enhance scalable cloud-native applications with a focus on performance testing and asynchronous API delivery.

Job Description

  • Design and develop robust Java-based microservices and APIs following cloud-native principles.
  • Migrate TPS TradeEntry services to OpenShift and optimize input channel configurations against instance allocation for improved performance.
  • Implement local caching of reference data within APIs and TradeEntry services to enhance response times.
  • Develop and enhance performance testing tools, including tracing data capabilities using emerging tools like K6 and Gatling.
  • Automate API testing using RestAssured to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Plan and execute performance testing strategies, including workload modeling and risk mitigation.
  • Implement asynchronous API delivery modes to improve system responsiveness and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microservices within cloud environments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Stay current with emerging Java API caching and performance testing technologies and best practices to continuously improve application performance and architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of Java microservices and APIs in a cloud-native environment.
  • Oversee the migration and optimization of TPS TradeEntry services to OpenShift.
  • Implement and maintain local caching strategies for reference data in APIs and TradeEntry components.
  • Enhance performance testing tools and methodologies, including tracing data enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain automated API test suites using RestAssured.
  • Plan, manage, and execute performance testing activities, including strategy formulation and workload modeling.
  • Implement and support asynchronous API delivery mechanisms.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members within the JAVA-CLOUD-NATIVE skill cluster.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and organizational policies throughout the development lifecycle.
