Role Summary
We at Coforge are looking for a hands-on Java L3 Support Lead to manage production support operations, lead a support team, and act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents. The ideal candidate will combine strong Java technical expertise with team leadership, stakeholder management, and incident resolution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the L3 Application Support team for business-critical applications.
- Own and drive resolution of major incidents, problem tickets, and production issues.
- Analyze application logs, troubleshoot defects, and perform root cause analysis.
- Support Java-based applications, APIs, microservices, and web applications.
- Coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Business teams for issue resolution.
- Manage incident escalations, stakeholder communications, and service reporting.
- Monitor application health, performance, and system availability.
- Drive automation and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Manage team schedules, workload allocation, and resource planning.
- Mentor and guide junior support engineers.

Required Skills
- 8+ years of Application Support experience with at least 2+ years in a Team Lead capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE applications.
- Experience supporting REST/SOAP APIs and distributed applications.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with SQL and database troubleshooting (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or ServiceNow.
- Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- AWS or cloud platform experience.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise application support experience.
