Java Developer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + excellent benefits package
We're seeking a talented Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering innovative solutions for large-scale, enterprise-level projects. Working within an Agile environment, you'll play a key role in designing, developing and enhancing modern applications while collaborating with technical leads, testers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining Java-based applications and microservices.
- Contributing to solution design and system architecture discussions.
- Promoting best practices including Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing.
- Supporting the delivery of features across the full software development lifecycle.
- Mentoring and guiding junior developers within the team.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years' commercial experience with Java (versions 8-17).
- Proven experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- Experience working with JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering best practices.
- Experience developing and supporting microservices-based applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
