Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience in Core Java, Spring, and multithreaded application development to build and enhance high-performance front-office electronic trading (eTrading) applications. The role involves working closely with Traders, Sales, Quants, and global engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance eTrading applications using Core Java and Spring.
- Develop multithreaded, low-latency, scalable, and resilient solutions.
- Work closely with Traders, Sales, and Quants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Enhance automated testing and support UAT processes.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, Agile development, and engineering best practices.
- Provide production/third-line support during core trading hours.
- Collaborate with globally distributed development, DevOps, and business support teams.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Core Java development
- Strong experience with Multithreading and Concurrency
- Spring Framework
- Strong understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Software Architecture
- Experience with Linux/Unix and relational databases
- Experience with Agile, TDD, CI/CD, and modern software development practices
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and scalable application design

Good to Have
- Experience in eTrading, Capital Markets, Fixed Income, or Derivatives
- Low-latency programming experience
- OpenShift / DevOps experience
- REST, JSON, XML
- GitHub, Jira, SonarQube, TeamCity, Gradle, IntelliJ
- Experience with ION or KDB/KDB+
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
