Role: Mid & Senior Java Developer
Location: Manchester once every two weeks
Flexibility going forward: once every two weeks, Flexible.
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + bonus
I'm working with a well-established technology business in Manchester that is growing its Java engineering team. We are looking for both mid-level and senior engineers who have a passion to change, develop and work on challenging solutions using modern tech and best practice.
What you'll be doing
- Building and delivering new features using Java 17 / Spring
- Working as part of a collaborative Agile/Scrum team
- Designing, testing, and deploying production-quality software
- Working with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
- Collaborating with Senior & Principal Developers, Product, UX, and Test teams
- Helping improve the way the team works and sharing your ideas

What we're looking for
- Strong commercial Java development experience
- Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment
- Good understanding of testing and code quality
- A problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and isn't afraid to ask questions

Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, TDD, or pair programming is a bonus — but you don't need all of them.
