Java Software Engineer – Elite Hedge Fund – London | Up to £130k Base + Bonus
I'm working with an elite hedge fund in London hiring a strong Java Developer to join their engineering team.
One of London's most sophisticated systematic trading operations
Small, high-calibre engineering team - real ownership, no corporate overhead
They need a strong Java engineer to help build and maintain the systems that underpin the firm's trading and research operations.
What you'll be working on:
- Building robust, production-grade Java applications
- Developing core systems that support trading and research
- Owning features end-to-end, from design to deployment
- Collaborating with traders, quants, and engineers
- Improving performance, reliability, and code quality

- Strong, current Java skills - clean, production-grade code
- Solid grasp of distributed systems and software design
- Financial services experience essential - ideally across Equities, Futures or FX
- Sharp problem-solver who takes ownership
- Strong academic background a plus
