We are partnering with an innovative technology company

We are partnering with an innovative technology company that develops high-performance software solutions supporting real-time data processing and mission-critical applications. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend systems within a fast-paced environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to the development of highly available applications that process large volumes of data while maintaining exceptional performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java.
  • Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following best practice principles.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the software development lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience developing applications in Java.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with Spring Framework and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of multithreading and concurrent programming concepts.
  • Experience using Git and modern version control practices.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on high-throughput, low-latency systems.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservice architectures.
  • Exposure to cloud-based environments.
