About The Role
We are seeking an experienced JavaScript Developer specializing in React and TypeScript to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing modern web applications tailored for complex operational environments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of consultants, architects, and engineers from project inception through to deployment, ensuring the delivery of secure, accessible, and highly functional digital solutions. Your expertise will help translate intricate operational requirements into intuitive interfaces that improve user experience and operational efficiency. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects within the public sector, where accessibility, security, and data utilization are paramount.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in frontend development with demonstrated expertise in React and TypeScript. A solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals is essential, including responsive and accessible design principles. Experience in building secure applications and integrating frontend services with REST APIs and authentication platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library will be advantageous. Candidates should have experience working with Git-based development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices. Previous experience in consultancy, government, law enforcement, or similarly complex environments will be considered a significant plus. Knowledge of technologies such as Entra ID, MSAL, Keycloak, Redux, React Router, Tailwind CSS, Docker, GitHub Actions, or data visualization tools will be beneficial. Candidates must also be eligible for UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, ensuring they meet security, accessibility, and usability standards.
- Create interactive dashboards, data-rich interfaces, and user journeys tailored for complex operational contexts, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and shape practical, user-centric solutions.
- Integrate applications seamlessly with RESTful APIs, authentication services, and enterprise platforms to ensure secure and efficient data exchange.
- Produce prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to validate ideas, support consultancy engagements, and facilitate iterative development.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and adherence to engineering standards, including CI/CD practices, to maintain high-quality deliverables across teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices within the team, fostering a culture of quality and innovation.
