About The Role
We are seeking a talented JavaScript Developer / Full Stack Engineer with strong Angular expertise to join our dynamic team in London, with flexible WFH options. In this role, you will be instrumental in re-architecting and enhancing a complex real-time shift rota platform used by the NHS. The core product is hosted on AWS and accessible via web and mobile devices, including iOS and Android. As a senior member of a small, agile team, you will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, improve system architecture, and contribute to the development of a 'tech for good' product that significantly impacts healthcare operations. Your focus will primarily be on frontend development using modern Angular (version 21), alongside writing optimized SQL queries and gaining some exposure to Java backend systems.

Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a top-tier university.
- Proven experience as a JavaScript Developer or Full Stack Engineer, with a strong focus on Angular (preferably Angular 21).
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL query optimization.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, real-time systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working in start-up or SME environments, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach, with a willingness to mentor and support team members.
- Desirable: Experience with Angular Ionic for mobile application development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the re-architecture and development of the front-end scheduling platform using Angular 21, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support front-end features and improve database performance.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and decision-making processes to uphold best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.
- Assist in integrating REST APIs and real-time data streams to enhance application responsiveness.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in JavaScript, Angular, and related technologies.
