About the Role
To support the standardisation and improvement of manufacturing processes by assisting in reviewing, maintaining and creating technical documentation, creating and refining build & test procedures, SOP’s and any other technical documentation associated with Fabrication and assembly processes. Contribute to research on new tools and techniques to enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Additionally, the role supports new product introductions, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing and maintaining manufacturing documents, BOMs, and build procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in manufacturing. Aim is to produce product in a 100% safe and most economical manner, minimal steps minimal stock and short cycle times to company quality standards.
- To support engineering team with product development with Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Support project teams and assist in producing plans and activities that support product introduction at the right time, at the right cost and the right quality.
- Assist in ensuring plant and equipment associated with production requirements, i.e. Factory machinery, test equipment, jigs are provided, appropriate and maintained correctly to company operational and H&S standards. Work with external companies to develop test equipment.
- Support current product manufacturing needs and production problems as they arise and as a priority.
- Research and implement best practices in the production process including the selection and recommendation of plant and equipment for H&S or cost down benefit.
- Support the training of personnel in understanding products and manufacturing/testing techniques.
- Ensure products comply with the company's Q.A. requirements and meet statutory standards.
- Assist with controlling calibration and maintenance of test rigs and instruments.

What We Are Looking For

- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a production engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to stainless steel fabrication, electronics, pneumatics, and electrical systems is desirable.
- Familiarity with compliance in regulated industries is an advantage.
