Fashion Jersey Designer
I am recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Fashion Jersey Designer to join a highly successful design and sales team, working across several key accounts with major UK retailers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a designer looking to develop their career in a fast-paced, commercial fashion environment. You will be front-facing with buyers, presenting your ranges alongside the Account Managers, so confidence, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for fashion are essential.
You will need strong commercial design experience across fashion-forward casualwear, plus some formal and leisure jersey, and a good understanding of what works for major retailers. You will take ownership of the jersey department from initial trend research and concept development through to creating detailed CADs and technical packs for production, working closely with the wider design and sales teams throughout the process.
The role is based in London and offers flexible hybrid working, so candidates based elsewhere in the UK will be considered, provided you are able to travel to the London office 3 days per week.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
