Job Description
Driving and operating specialist Jet Vac Tankers to perform principle daily activities servicing the needs of a wide variety of clients including Petrol Forecourts, Distribution Depots, Auto Garages, or any other site producing waste via surface drainage, on both a planned and reactive basis, across the UK.
This role involves working away from home, Monday to Friday and utilising a sleeper cab.
48 hour contract, £17.17 per hour basic with overtime at x1.25 + overnight rates, OTE around £50,000 per annum (based on average earnings)
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To work in a manner that will bring credit to Slicker Recycling by displaying qualities of punctuality, presentable appearance, well mannered, polite, and courteous to a client’s representatives and other Group employees at all times.
- Ensure all work carried out on site is in line with the company legal / licence requirement and all paperwork and site visit documentation is completed, signed off and recorded accurately and in a fully compliant way.
- Normal working start time is 6am, working through to completion of works; although, occasionally, earlier starts may be required and/or later finishes depending on individual job/client requirements.
- Overnight patterns will be required (on a rota basis) to accommodate customer requirements.
- Typically field based, requiring working away from home/base locations for the majority of time. Job will require (once trained/competent) being part of the on-call rotation covering weekends; weekend working may be available from time to time to cover additional client requirements / backlog of works.
- Must have a flexible approach to working patterns where required to ensure the needs of the business are met.
- Any training required for the role will be supplied by the business.

Key Skills & Requirements
Essential
- Driver CPC
- Class 2 Driving Licence
- Have a productive organisational focus
- Be self-motivated, adaptable and act on own initiative
- Logical approach to problem solving and decision making
- Knowledge of operations / H&S / scheduling practices
- Excellent housekeeping
Preferred
- Experience in operating Jet Vac type vehicles
- High pressure water jetting certificate
- UKPIA petrol station safety passport
- Confined space entry certification
- ADR Licence
