Jewellery Assistant
We are looking for a Jewellery Assistant to join our busy jewellery department in our Birmingham office! This role is perfect for those looking to move into the jewellery or auction world. You will get hands-on experience dealing with the jewellery, communicating with clients, and experience the auction process from start to finish.
This is an onsite role, full-time in the Birmingham Jewellery quarter. The hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with an hour's unpaid lunch break.
Responsibilities
- Viewing - On busy viewing days, it's key to have a friendly face who is happy to help! You will be handing out the jewellery to our clients and ensuring it is returned safely, also answering any possible questions our clients may have.
- Preparing for auction days - This will include ticketing the jewellery, laying the items out, and ensuring all the items are accounted for prior to the viewing. You will also be assisting with condition reports, answering questions our clients may have, allowing them to bid confidently!
- Preparing Invoices - You will be assisting our logistics and accounts team by matching the invoices to the items, ensuring the correct items are there, and organizing them so they are easy for our teams to find.
- Organising repairs - This is a key role within the jewellery team. This includes taking the items to the local jewellery repairers and arranging collection as soon as possible.

We are looking for an individual who can take initiative and take this role into their own hands, ensuring smooth running of our jewellery department. Though repetitive at times, this role is one of the most important within this team, so we are looking for an individual who can work well in a team and alone while remaining organized.
While no specific qualifications are needed, an interest or passion for jewellery is desired.
