Jewellery Repairer (Part-time, 3 days)

Ebony Jewellery is an independent, family-run jeweller established in Chichester in 1983. We deal in antique, vintage and modern jewellery, and — unusually for a shop our size — we keep all repair, resizing and bespoke work in-house rather than sending it out. We are looking for an experienced Jewellery Repairer to join us three days a week. Which three days is flexible and can be agreed with the right person.
The role
You'll be working at the bench on the full range of repair work that comes through an independent jeweller's door: resizing, shank and claw repairs, chain and clasp soldering, setting checks, polishing and finishing, and the sympathetic restoration of antique and vintage pieces. You'll also support bespoke commissions. Our workshop is customer-facing, so you'll be quoting and explaining work directly to the people it belongs to.

About you
- Around two years or more of commercial bench experience
- Skilled in soldering, saw piercing, polishing and finishing across 9ct and 18ct gold, silver and platinum
- Comfortable managing your own workload against customer deadlines
- Trustworthy with sentimental and high-value customer pieces

Terms
- Part-time, permanent, three days per week. Day rate negotiable depending on experience.
- Based in our South Street shop in Chichester — this is an on-site role.
