Assistant Boutique Manager

We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to play a leading role in the success of the store/counter by supporting the Store Manager to lead, coach and develop the team of Sales Associates to achieve all sales, customer service, and operational targets.
Candidates should have proven supervisory, coaching, and retail operations skills gained in a fast-paced retail environment. Position Overview
Division / Department: Sales Reports to: Boutique Manager Direct reports: Senior Stylist / Stylists
Role Summary
As the Assistant Boutique Manager, your role is to elevate the boutique experience and drive success. Key responsibilities include:
- Hosting visitors with authenticity, ensuring they feel inspired by The World of Jo Malone London™.
- Executing creative services (e.g., signature hand and arm massages, wedding consultations) to turn moments into lasting memories.
- Curating events such as floral crown fittings, art installations, and experiential workshops (e.g., graffiti masterclasses, chocolate tastings, cocktail events).
- Supporting the Boutique Manager in day-to-day operations and sales strategies.
- Ensuring the store runs smoothly, including managing team alignment with the Boutique and Brand vision.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks
- Deliver exceptional customer service—exceeding expectations with warmth and personalisation.
- Maximise sales performance and productivity through coaching and team leadership.
- Team management—providing guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively across departments in the department store.
- Plan, organise, and execute in-store events to drive brand engagement.
- Manage stock and inventory efficiently to maintain high stock levels.
- Ensure a pristine store environment—upholding visual merchandising (VM) standards.
- Maintain high administrative standards, including timely and thorough tasks.
- Analyse competitor activity and integrate an omni-channel approach.
Key Qualifications & Experience
** Essential Requirements**
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant retail management.
- Strong customer service skills—inspirational, authentic, and personalized.
- Demonstrated ability to plan sales targets, sales analysis, and staff scheduling.
- Retail operations experience, including inventory, cash reconciliation, and facilities management.
- Ability to lead a team in achieving sales and customer service excellence.
- Experience creating and executing in-store events.
- Availability to work varied retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and special occasions.
- Experience with retail POS software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
