We are gold mine owners operating in East Africa, seeking an experienced Gold Trading & International Sales Consultant to support the international marketing, trading, import/export and sale of gold produced from our mining operations.
We currently sell gold in Dubai and are looking to further develop and expand our network of reputable buyers, refineries, dealers and international trading partners.
The consultant may be based anywhere in the world but should have strong knowledge of the international gold and precious-metals market, with particular experience or connections in East Africa, Dubai and other major international gold trading centres.
The successful candidate will work closely with the mine owners to identify genuine buyers, develop international sales opportunities, negotiate transactions and advise on the compliant movement and sale of gold.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and introduce credible international buyers for gold and precious metals.
- Develop and strengthen our existing gold sales activities in Dubai.
- Establish relationships with reputable Dubai-based gold buyers, refineries, bullion dealers and precious-metals trading companies.
- Develop relationships with refineries, bullion dealers, wholesalers, traders and institutional buyers internationally.
- Assist mine owners in negotiating competitive and commercially appropriate gold sale terms.
- Advise management on international gold prices, market conditions and potential sales opportunities.
- Support the lawful import and export of gold between East Africa, Dubai and other approved international markets.
- Coordinate with licensed customs agents, secure logistics providers, refineries and other authorised service providers.
- Assist with documentation required for legitimate international gold transactions.
- Ensure proposed transactions are appropriately documented and capable of satisfying relevant customs, export, import, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Support due diligence on prospective buyers, sellers, intermediaries and business partners.
- Assist with KYC, AML, sanctions screening and responsible-sourcing requirements applicable to precious-metals transactions.
- Help verify buyers' credentials, financial capability and proposed payment arrangements before transactions progress.
- Identify suitable international markets and new opportunities for the company's gold.
- Develop new sales channels and long-term relationships with international buyers.
- Assist with refinery introductions, assay arrangements and the commercial process from mine production through to final sale.
- Negotiate commissions, pricing structures, payment terms and transaction procedures subject to management approval.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect commercially sensitive information relating to our mines, buyers and transactions.
- Provide regular reports to the mine owners on prospective buyers, negotiations, transactions and market opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
