Our Engineering Division reviews and inspects the capital projects that build, improve, and maintain the roads and utility systems our community relies on every day. This role is far from a desk-only job—you’ll be out in the field inspecting public infrastructure for both City projects and private developments, ensuring that everything meets our high standards.

As a working supervisor, you’ll play a key role in guiding projects from concept to completion. Responsibilities include:
- Performing field inspections
- Developing and managing capital projects
- Drafting and reviewing construction contracts
- Verifying compliance with engineering standards
- Overseeing contractor pre-qualification in alignment with requirements
This position follows a regular work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree and five years of directly related experience are required; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.
Licensing
- Valid driver’s license, Oregon Class C with an acceptable driving record
