About The Position
Loss Prevention and Building Maintenance Coordinator
Our Loss Prevention team helps protect what matters most to our Policyholders, proactively completing surveys to identify risks to prevent a future loss. Reporting to the Manager of Claims and Loss Prevention, you will work closely with the team to coordinate surveys on insured risks and keep Policyholders, underwriters, agents, and brokers informed every step of the way. You will also help keep our building running smoothly, coordinating vendor contracts, budgeting, and on-site vendor work alongside the Manager of Claims and Loss Prevention.
As the successful candidate, you're organized, dependable, and comfortable juggling a variety of responsibilities without losing sight of the details. You take pride in following through, whether that's a Policyholder waiting on a survey update or a vendor quote that needs a second look. You enjoy variety in your workday, and don't mind shifting gears from one task to the next.
Positions available: 1
Hiring annual salary range: $55,000-$65,000

Responsibilities
- Coordinate surveys with our Policyholders, ensuring adherence to bio-security measures.
- Gather completed surveys, upload information into our policy administration and loss prevention software, and complete related data entry.
- Develop and send letters of recommendation to our Policyholders, in response to any findings from our Loss Prevention team.
- Support the Loss Prevention team with administrative tasks, including correspondence and written reports.
- Help ensure our building and property are well maintained, coordinating with vendors and contractors on equipment and facility issues.
- Work with vendors to gather quotes, review contracts, and submit proposals to VP of Innovation.
- Follow through on maintenance recommendations from the health and safety committee and quarterly building checklist.
- Collect and organize vendor insurance certificates.
- Provide administrative backup support for Claims and Reception.
Skills & Experience
- Post-secondary education in a business-related program, is strongly preferred.
- Working towards CIP or CRM, is an asset.
- Comfortable interpreting maintenance instructions and safety documentation, with knowledge of building construction or related hazards considered an asset.
- Genuinely enjoys providing exceptional customer service, with empathy and a welcoming manner.
- Knowledge and experience using Guidewire software, is an asset.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and effective organizational skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
