The Testing Lab PLC (TTL) is an independent environmental consultancy that evolved from Asbestos Surveyors UK Ltd, originally established in 2009 and incorporated under its own identity in 2010. The company operates two laboratories in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and has six main divisions supported by over 100 team members nationwide. TTL provides a wide range of services including asbestos surveys and analysis, legionella risk assessments and water testing, fire safety assessments, geotechnical and structural investigation, specialist material testing, environmental chemistry, and building compliance services. With multiple multiyear contracts across local authorities and private sector clients, TTL offers many services under one roof and is recognized as one of the UK’s fastest growing independent environmental consultants.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based at The Testing Lab PLC’s facilities in Doncaster. The Job Title will support environmental testing and consulting activities, working closely with laboratory, field, and project teams to deliver accurate and timely results for client projects.

The role will involve collaborating with colleagues across different divisions, communicating clearly with internal stakeholders, and contributing to reports and documentation that support compliance and project delivery. The individual in this position will be expected to manage their workload effectively, meet deadlines, and uphold TTL’s standards of professionalism, integrity, and excellent client service.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately with technical data, including sample handling, documentation, and basic laboratory or field procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for contributing to reports, record-keeping, and effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Awareness of health, safety, and quality standards, with a commitment to following established protocols and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with common office and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, and document management systems).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Relevant technical or scientific education (e.g., degree or vocational qualification in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or a related field) is beneficial.
- Previous experience in environmental testing, consultancy, construction, compliance, or a related technical industry is an advantage but not essential.
- Valid right to work in the UK and ability to commute reliably to the Doncaster site.
