Role Description

The Aluminium Fabricator role at Absolute Aluminium Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Coventry (CV8 1NR). Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing aluminium window, door, and roof systems to specification
  • Using appropriate hand tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Ensuring accurate production
  • Maintaining quality standards throughout the fabrication process

  • Performing basic maintenance and housekeeping on the workshop floor
  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines

Adherence to health and safety procedures, safe use of equipment, and continuous attention to detail are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aluminium fabrication or metalwork, including measuring, cutting, and assembling components to technical drawings
  • Competence using hand tools, powered tools, and workshop machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and product specifications accurately
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused work habits, and commitment to maintaining high production standards
  • Understanding of workshop health and safety practices and safe operation of equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues and suggest practical solutions
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with production and installation teams
  • Previous experience with aluminium window and door systems (e.g., AluK, Alutech) is desirable
  • Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in fabrication, metalwork, or a related trade is beneficial
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work on-site full time in Coventry
