Role Description

The Registered Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of children’s services at Aspire Children Services in Manchester. This full-time, on-site role includes managing and supporting staff, ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding practices, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The role involves developing and implementing care plans, monitoring service delivery, and leading regular supervision and team meetings. The Registered Manager will liaise with families, external agencies, and stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for children and young people. Additionally, the role includes responsibility for performance management, reporting, budgeting oversight, and driving continuous improvement across the service.

  • Strong leadership and management abilities, including team supervision, performance oversight, and the capacity to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory requirements, and best practices in children’s residential or support services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, staff, and external professionals.
  • Solid organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with experience in service coordination, reporting, and quality assurance.
  • Relevant professional qualification in social care, childcare, social work, or a related field (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior or management role within children’s services or a similar care setting.
  • Ability to work on-site in Manchester on a full-time basis and adapt to the needs of a dynamic, child-centered environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
