Bio
My name is Joe Horner. I am a UK-based fine art graduate of Chelsea School of Art, Award-Winning Photographer + Floral artist.
Since I was a young boy, I have always had a passion for photography; You could say it is in my blood. My grandfather was a photographer and printer in the Second World War, and my family is now up to a 3rd generation of printers within a terrace house off the High Street in Knaresborough.
Published by Vogue Italia, Vice, Oh Mag, Drapers, Grazia, Draper, and others.
Awards include Portrait of Britain award and Palm* Studios award.

My series takes a look at preserving the beauty of the flowers and allows them to be viewed in a unique manner, with each flower hand-picked by me. I work with flowers as I love the idea of how their life cycle goes hand in hand with the work. They have a purpose with a beginning and end. Just as the work once finished will melt away, without the capturing of the pieces with photography, the work may have never been seen.
