Professional background
He started his career in Finance, initially in the area of insurance and latterly held roles in the area of the trading of listed derivatives – such as heading up the risk and the recruitment functions of market-making organisations. He led and managed teams for the majority of that time.

Coaching expertise
He became interested in coaching when he received some himself. He was captivated by the power and impact of the principle of asking good questions. He therefore received some training from a coaching college and shortly after this, left finance to move into coaching full time. He was then inspired to go deeper, and completed a Masters degree in Coaching Psychology which, introduced him to many great thinkers, concepts and approaches – and which has informed how he coaches today. He is inspired by the way that we make meaning – both of our world and down to everyday events that happen to us. An inquiry into and appreciation of this often contains, in his experience, the keys to how we can address any of the challenges that we find ourselves in.
